ELIJAH BURDETTE, of Middle Reedy in Curtis District located on lands and made 
the farm now the County Poor Farm; he was prominent from years 1845 to 1868, or 
thereabout; we have no data as to whence he came or of his wife's family name; 
but at that home they reared several daughters, and two sons named Morgan and
William C., the latter mar­ried Josephene Kyger March 1, 1869; now long a 
farmer and stock man on Right Fork Sand Creek, in Reedy District.
