GEORGE WASHINGTON SMITH is a school teacher in Lincoln county in which county he has taught thirteen years, reading all literature which tends to qualify him for his profession. he is eminently successful, and in each district would be heartily welcome. He is a native of Lawrence county, Ohio, born December 1, 1855. He came to Lincoln county in 1868 with his parents, Thomas and Rachael (Ullom) Smith. Two brothers of Mr. Smith were in the late war, in the Federal army, one of whom served three years. Hamlin, Lincoln county, West Virginia is the postoffice address of G. W. Smith.
