Born near what is now New Bardane, in 1863, where he is still living; received his education under a pri- vate teacher; is a farmer and fruit grower by occupation; was elected to the House of Delegates from Jefferson county in 1914, and re-elected in November, 1916; during the regular and extra sessions of 1917 was assigned to and served on the following standing committees of that body: Immigration and Agriculture (Chairman); Taxation and Finance, State Boundaries, Roads and Internal Naviga- tion, Forestry and Conservation.
