LEASE John Waugh To Maurice Veale

THIS INDENTURE made the nineteenth day of March In the year of our Lord God One thousand Seven hundred and Thirty Three Between John Waugh of the County of Stafford Planter of t.he one Part And Maurice Veale of the County of Prince William Planter of the other Part WITNESSETH That 1-he said John Waugh for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings sterling to him in hand paid by the said Maurice Veale the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Math granted bargained & sold and by these presents doth grant bargain & sell unto the said Maurice Veale all that Tract or Parcell of Land containing by estimation ninety acres be the same more or less situate lying and being in the Fork of the North run of Occoquon River above the Falls thereof in the said County of Prince William & bounded as Followeth Vix; Beginning at the mouth of 1-he said North run A running up the same North one hundred A fifty poles to a marked Hiccory standing on the upper aide of the said Run thence North Twenty Five degrees West & One Hundred poles to a marked red Oak standing at the upper end of a piece of low ground on the river aide, thence down the River the several meanders thereof t.o the Beginning at the mouth of the said North run being part of a greater tract of Five hundred 7 twenty Five Acres of Land granted by the Proprietors of the Northern Neck of Virginia to . John Waugh Gent Father of the said John Waugh Party to these Presents, by their Deed hearing date the twenty fourth day of February One thousand Seven Hundred & nine. And all Houses Edifices ices Buildings Gardens Orchards Meadows Commons Pastures Feedings Trees Woods Underwoods Ways Paths Waters Watercourses Easements Profits Comodities Advantages Emoluments Mereditaments Rights Members & Appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining or which now are or formerly have been accepted reputed taken known used occupied or enjoyed to or with the same or as part parcell or member thereof And the Reversion and Reversions, Remainder and Remainders Rents & Services of the said premises above mentioned and of every part & parcel thereof with the Appurtenances TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same Lands Hereditaments & Premises above mentioned and every part & parcel hereof with the appurtenances unto the said Maurice Veale his Exors Admrs and Assigns from the First Day of this instant March for & during and unto the Full end and term of one whole Year from thence next and immediately ensuing A following and fully to be completed and ended Yielding and Paying therefore one peppercorn & upon the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel, if demanded., To the intent that by Virtue of these Presents and by force of the Statute for transferring of uses into Possession he the said Maurice Veale may be in the actual possession of all and singular the said premises above mentioned with the Appurtenances and thereby be enabled to accept and take a Grant & Release of the Reversion and Inheritance thereof to him and his heirs, to the only proper use and behoove of him the said Maurice Veale his heirs & Assigns for ever IN WITNESS whereof the said. John Waugh bath hereunto Set his hand & Seal the day & month & year first above written.

THIS INDENTURE made

Maurice Veale of the County of Prince William Planter of the other part WITNESSETH That
the said John Waugh for and in consideration of the Sum of Fight Thousand Pounds of
Tobacco & ten pounds to him in hand paid by the said Maurice Veale The receipt whereof
the said John Waugh dot.h hereby acknowledge and for diverse other good Considerations him
thereunto moving he the said John Waugh Math granted bargained and sold signed A released
& confirmed and by these presents doth fully . . . . . . . . .

This indenture made the sixteenth
day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy between Thomas
Ludwell Lee of the one part and William Veale of the other part
WITNESSETH that the said Thomas Ludwell Lee for and in consideration of
the sum of five shillings to him in hand paid by the said William Veale the
receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and of the rents and covenants herein after
mentioned to be paid and performed by the said William Veale the said Thomas
Ludwell Lee hath demised granted and to farm letten and by these presents doth
demise grant and to farm let unto the said William Veale all that
messuage or tenement lying in the county of Loudoun and containing three hundred and
twenty acres during his natural life and the life of Morris Veale his fourth son
and the life of Susanna Veal.e his second daughter whereof the said Thomas
Ludwell Lee is now seized as tenant in tail and bounded as followeth to wit_
Beginning at a black oak by a glade thence north 65 W 320 poles to two white oaks N
25 F 160 poles t.o two swamp oaks in a savannah thence 5 65 F 320 poles to several
small saplins, thence 5 25 W 160 poles to the beginning containing three hundred and
twenty acres and no more, together with all houses buildings fences yards gardens orchards
woods underwooda trees ways waters water courses swamps marshes meadows low grounds
profits commodities hereditamenta and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in
any wise appertaining for and during the term hereafter mentioned . . . . . . . . . . . .

reversion that he the said William Veale his executors administrators and
assigns shall and will during the term hereby granted well and truly pay or cause to be
