He was mustered out with company March 24, 1864 at Camp Nelson Ky. as Dany Bishop, Return for Aug, Sept, Nov & Dec. 1863 and Jany. 1864 do not report him absent for Oct 1863 present on extra or daily duty no other on file. Cav. and was honorably discharged March 24, 1864 having served ninety days or more during the CIVIL WAR. Thatb she was married to the soldier July 23, 1857 under the name of Vicy Baker at Manchester, Ky. by JAS PARSONS that she had not been previously married and that he had not been previously married. We know that they lived together as husband and wife to the date of the soldiers death and the claimant has not remarried since the soldier died and we know that the soldier died on Feb 8th 1920 we saw him after he was dead and was at his burial. Well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who being duly sworn declares in relation to the aforesaid case as follows: We lived neighbors to Lee Bishop the claimant and Vicy Bishop. The pensioner lived with him and we saw the pensioner regularly during her last sickness. She was taken paralyzed June 23, 1923 and Lee Bishop nursed and took care of her from that day until she died and the pensioner was confined to the bed from June 23, 1923 requiring constant aid and attention until death, and she died on July 4, 1923.
