The Timen Stiddem Society Wins Top Honors Again!

It was announced today [May 7, 2014] at the Opening Session of the National Genealogical Society's Conference in the States held in Richmond, Virginia, that the Timen Stiddem Society has won 1st place in the Family Associations Newsletter Competition for 2014. This marks the 5th time the TSS has won this award and its accompanying national recognition. Previous wins were for the years: 2000, 2001, 2010 and 2011. The photo below shows NGS President, Jordan Jones, handing the award to TSS Membership Secretary, Kay Wootten-Schechinger.

TSS President, David R. Stidham, Passes Away

davidDavid Stidham passed away on Sunday, March 24th, he was 65 years old. He was on one of his regular missionary trips in Haiti when he fell suddenly ill. Flown quickly back to his home in Worcester, Mass., he was unable to recover and passed away at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester. As president, historian and Stidham* Family Tree database manager, David was the driving force behind the Timen Stiddem Society, the family association he co-founded along with his father Jack (1923-2008) and cousin Richard Steadham back in 1998.
