The pictures below were sent to the Association by Philip Truex, an active Association member and resident of Carlsbad, California. Phillip had the coat of arms made in New York city by a L. C. Proudfoot in 1960, and he hangs it proudly in his living room. He lived in New York city when he was an actor on Broadway with his father. Unfortunately, Philip doesn't have the maker's address anymore.
There are a few interesting differences worth noting between this coat of arms and the coat of arms (#1) diagrammed by Theodore de T. Truax and the coats of arms sent to us by Eric du Trieux of Belgium (#3, #4 and #5).
- The general shape of the shield is triangular versus rectangular.
- The three stars on the shield have 5 points instead of six.
- The motto on the scroll is different. This one reads reads "BIEN FAIRE C'EST BIEN PENSER". Literally translated (no experts in French here), it means "Doing well is thinking well", or perhaps more commonly, "To do right is to think (act?) right".
Quite a bit different from "BIEN FAIRE ET NE RIEN GRAIDRE", or "Do Right and Fear Nothing" on T. de T's coat of arms (#1)!!
