Hubert M. (Bert) Fischcbach, 55, of 1960 Jackson street, died at St. Joseph's sanitarium at 3:15 Tuesday afternoon following a three weeks' illness. The body is at the Hoffmann mortuary, where friends may call after 7 o'clock this Wednesday evening. The funeral will be held from there to St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock Friday morning. Burial will be in Mount Calvary cemetery. Mr. Fischbach was born in Dyersville on Oct. 14, 1889, a son of the lat Mathias and Ann Fischbach. He came to Dubuque about 20 years ago and had lived here since. He was a member of St. Mary's parish. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Fischbach, two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Celeste) Faulkner, Jacksonville, Ill., and Mrs. Joseph (Bernice) Hillard, Dubuque; one stepdaughter, Marguerite King; one stepson, David Graham Kin; four sisters, Mrs. Susan Dettman, Mrs. Mayme Huberty and Miss Catherine Fischbach, all of Dyersville; and Mrs. Joseph Sweeney, Rock Island, Ill.; three brothers, Andrew Fischbach, Herman, MN; John Fischbach, Dubuque, and Theodore Fischbach, Anaheim, CA, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Mae Fischbach, two sons and one brother.
