Mrs. M. Fischbach Claimed by Death:

Passed away at home of her daughter Mrs. Geo. Huberty in this city. Death claimed Mrs. Anna Fischbach, wife of the late Mr. Matt Fischbach, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Huberty in this city, Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 28, 1934, at about 11 o'clock. Her demise was due to complications tributary to old age. Deceased's maiden name was Miss Anna Schneider, and she was born in Rhine Province, Germany, on April 14, 1858, and was 76 years old. When eleven years old, she came to this country with her parents, coming directly to Iowa, and she lived in this community over half a century. In the year 1878 on May tenth, the deceased was unitied in marriage to Mr. Matt Fischbach in St. Francis Church of this city, the late Rev. Father A. Kortenkamp officiating. After their marriage, they settled down to housekeeping in this city. Mr. Fischbach was for many years the traveling representative for the National Importing Comapny. He preceded his wife in death on July 25, 1918.
Deceased is survived by the following children: Andrew of Herman, Minn., Mrs. Susan Dittmann of Dubuque, Mayme-Mrs. George Huberte of this city, Fred Fischbach of this city, Hubert of Dubuque, Catherine of Long Beach, CA, and John of Dubuque, Theo. of Anaheim, CA, Clara-Mrs. Jos. Sweeney of Dubuque. She is also survied by her sister, Mrs. Wm. Reilly of Dubuque, three brothers, Peter of Dubuque, Tony of Calmar, and John of Bancroft. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The funeral took place Friday morning from the home of her daughter to St. Francis Church, where requiem high mass was sung for the repose of her soul by Re. Father Halbach, after which her remains were laid to rest beside those of her husband in St. Francis Cemetery. The pallbearers were Messrs. John Freymann, Henry Huberty, Clem Schliokeimann, Leo Zimmer, Richard Rubly, and Jacob Huberty.
