Images of the articles from The Pickens Sentinel appear here with permission and through the courtesy of the newspaper. The pre-event story by Sandy Foster appeared on the front page of the Sep 7, 2005 issue; the event story and photo appeared on the front page of the Sep 14, 2005 issue; and the group photo ran on page 5A (society section) of the Sep 21, 2005 issue. These articles and some of the photos below are provided through the courtesy of Kayce Shusterman, Assistant Editor, The Pickens Sentinel.

The photos captioned 'Wreaths in Cemetery' and 'Whitehurst' show some nice shots of stones in the cemetery. The photo of the Old Stone Church is a very nice image of that historic building. Both photos of the wreaths are beautiful, and the images of those who came in costume as well as those in military costume are worth seeing.

'Thank You' doesn't come close to expressing our gratitude to those who shared these documents, images and memories, and to all who participated to make this event possible and so memorable.
