Maryland, May the 25th 1745. In the name of God Amen.
I Daniel Mackdaniel of Charles County being sick but of perfect memory
Thanks be to God for the same do make & ordain this my last will & testament
in manner & form following Revoking all wills or will formerly by me made or done.
Item I give my soul to God that gave it me and my body to the Earth hop(ing)
through the merits of my Saviour Jesus Christ a remission of my sins. Item I(give)
to my loving wife Ann MacDaniel one hundred and twenty acres of land
with my dwelling plantation at the north end of my land during her
natural life and after her Decease to my son Daniel MacDaniel and his
forever but if my son Daniel be dead then I do give it to my son Thomas ___(?)____
and his heirs forever - Item I give to my son William MacDaniel the remain(der)
of my land to him and his heirs and assigns forever and also I do give the
bed that I do lie on myself together with all the furniture belonging to the
said bed and one Iron pott and one Chest and one Mare and CA? and my
young Cow and Calf. Item I give to my daughter Esther MacDaniel one Cow (&)
Calf and one bed with a pair of large blanketts and large Rug and two
pair of sheet and 1 Iron pott. Item I give to my Cousin Catron Kyle free (use)
of that parcel of land that I gave to my son William MacDaniel contain(ing)
about Thirty acres it lying about the little house that I built for my son
Daniel to her and her son During her natural life and at her decease to (revert)
to my son William MacDaniel.Item I give to my loving wife Ann MacDaniel
all my personal Estate that is not above given away to my children.
I Constitute & appoint my wife Ann MacDaniel to be my whole and sole
Executrix of this only last will & testament Signed and Sealed Delivered in
the presence of us the day of year above written ( The words of plantation ____

On the back of the foregoing will was thus written To wit
Charles County For on the 13th of August 1745 Came Thomas Freeman and (John)
Moore the Subscribing witnesses to the within will and made oath on the
holy Evangelists that they saw Daniel MacDaniel the Testator sign & Seal
same and heard him publish and Declare the same to be his last will & test(ament)
that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehension
of sound & Disposing mind and memory and that they subscribed their
names to the said will in the presence of the Testator at his request.
