The first minister was called March 6, 1809. A commitee was appointed to purchase a site for building April 24, 1809. Plans for building presented May 16, 1809, and building was dedicated April 3, 1811. First session of a Presbytery connectd with General Assembly U.S.A. ever held in Charleston, was in April 1811.

Ministers serving during the years covered by the following registers were:

• Rev. Andrew Flinn, 1809-1820
• Rev. Artemus Boies, elected 1821, resigned 1823
• Rev. Charlton Henry, 1823-1827
• Rev. Wm Ashmead, called 1829, but never served on account of his health
• Rev. Thomas Smyth, installed 1834, died 1873
