Saltlicks
Our county is moderately well supplied with Salt- licks. The largest and best known is the one at Mc- Cuneville. Near Baird Furnace, in Mondaycreek, on Salt Creek, is another one, but it is small. At the Lick School House" in Clayton is another. Likewise there is one in Harrison. Several smaller ones are to be found in various parts of the county. Salt water is found in abundance in all of our oil and gas wells.32
