Mailing List Home Page

This site was initially provided as support for the AUS-NSW-WEST mailing list. Although the mailing list is still active, this website is no longer maintained and is onleft online for the immense amount of information it contains. No further changes will be made to this website.

The mailing list is a discussion area for anyone who has an interest in family, local and regional history relating to the Western area of the state of New South Wales in Australia. For the purpose of this list, the West is defined as that area from the South Australian border to a line running roughly from Brewarrina down to Balranald.

The major towns are Broken Hill, Wentworth, Balranald, Hay, Nyngan, Cobar, Bourke and Walgett.
