This index has been transcribed from a photocopy of the original Muster Rolls, now lost, but which were held until about 3 years ago by a local heritage organization.

The copy cover the Officers of C. Company and the detachments based at Sale, Warragul, Moe, Morwell & Thorpdale, as well as the South African Detail from C Company.

The index lists the name, residence (that is postal address), occupation, age, date of first taking the oath, and page number.

The full entry in the Rolls give Regimental no. (incl. rank); No. or letter of Troop, Battery, or Company; Dates of administration of oath of allegiance ; Date of passing into Ranks ; Surname, Christian name; Height ; age ; occupation ; date of promotions or reductions, date of quitting. and where relevant details of South African service - including, in at least one case, medals won
