Following are heads of Stidham* family lines who have not been authoritatively documented as descendants of Timen Stiddem. Although most are no doubt direct descendants of Timen Stiddem (or the Scottish immigrant, John Steedman), they will be listed as unplaced until positive proof of their ancestry is found. Many were African American slaves or descendants of slaves who took the Stidham* surname. Anyone with information which may help place these Stidhams*
should contact Ules "Butch" Stidam, Jr. (easyrider50-at-comcast.net), the Stidham*

James Adam [445f] Steadham (c1810) and Elizabeth Yarbrough of Fulton Co., Georgia. Although there is no evidence that James Adam [445f] Steadham is the son of John [294a] Stidham, he was placed here as the most logical of several options and to provide a "home" for the data. He was living 1850 in Villa Rica, Carroll Co., Georgia; 1860 in Talladega, Talladega Co., Alabama; 1870-1880 in Fulton Co., Georgia; and 1900 in Cleburne Co., Alabama.
John Steadham of Early Co., Georgia. There are two John Steadhams listed in the 1860 census. The age for neither one is listed in the census enumeration. He may be John [294a] Steadham.

We believe Henry [490a] Stidum's father was

Alex and Hannah Stidum (c1814) of Burlington, New Jersey. Their son, Alfred, was a noted portrait artist in Philadelphia. His father was probably the free black, James Stidham (Stidum) of Kent Co., Maryland
Daniel Stedams (1805) and Elizabeth of Downe Township, Cumberland Co., New Jersey. His brother was Hiram Stedams below. They may have been Germans.
John T. [378] Stidham (c1854) of Cumberland Co., New Jersey. He is most likely the son of Peter [263] Stidham of Delaware. The 1910 census indicates his father was born in Pennsylvania, but the 1930 census has him born in Switzerland.
Mary Steedom (c1750-1760) and Josiah Bogue of Jones Co., North Carolina. Probably the sister of Sarah Stedham below who married Josiah Bogue's brother. They are probably daughters of Anders (Andrew) [66a] Stedham, although we have no proof.
Charlie and Eliza Steadham. Charlie was a slave "owned" by Sallie Steadham. Their daughter, Betsey, was a Seminole Freedman.
Cleve Steddum (1887) and Mary of Oklahoma Co., Oklahoma. No doubt a descendant of Samuel Steddum of Flemning Co., Kentucky.
Francis Marion Stidham (23 Apr 1854-3 Mar 1898) of Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory. He lived at Sallisaw where he operated a store. His widow, Permelia, was listed in the 1900 Federal census of Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory. (He was incorrectly identified as #2074 in The Descendants of Dr. Timothy Stidham, but that Francis Marion was too young.) We believe he was the son of William Riley [427b] Stidham and Dorothy Webb.
George Washington (Stidham) Stidman of Hanna, McIntosh Co., Indian Territory. George Washington had three families, including children with Nora ____? and Bertha Weeks. The UnplacedEmma Stidham (who married Isaac Rice) was one of his descendatns.

Joe and Polly Stidham (c1868) of Indian Territory (Creek and Seminole Freedman) Joe Stidham was listed on the Dawes rolls as a Creek citizen, formerly "owned by George Stidham". Polly Stidham was listed on the Dawes rolls as the "wife of George Stidham, a Seminole citizen." This may have been
Judge George W. [487] Stidham.

Frederick Stedem (1861) and Adelaide of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were Germans. His father was Anton Stedem, born 1827 in Trier, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.
Elizabeth Boyd Stedham of Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. Her husband was probably related to Richard Stedham, and Englishman, who owned land in Lancaster County.
George Steddam, a veteran of the War of 1812, Pennsylvania Militia.
John Henderson [314a] Stidham (1809) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A DNA test on one of John Henderson [314a] Stidham's descendants prove he is a direct descendant of Timen [1] Stiddem. His parents may have been John [136] Stidham and Abagail Springer of Christiana Hundred, New Castle Co., Delaware. John [136] was listed in the 1820 census as John Stidham Sr., yet he has no known son named John. In the census enumeration, there is an unknown male child under 10 years of age. John Henderson [314a] fits this age grouping.
Samuel [265a] Stidham (c1816) of Beaver Co. Pennsylvania. His father may have been the "Samuel Stidim" residing by himself in Beaver Co., Pennsylvania at the time of the 1810 census.
