1st Lt. Grant Stidham [son of 1483] was born March 28, 1919, in Corbin, Kenducky. He died January 24, 1943, at Foster Field in Victoria County, Texas, while training cadets in flying maneuvers during WWII. He was the son of William Riley Stidham. As a child in the 1930s, Grant won two national marble-shooting championships held at Ocean City, Maryland. He entered the military in 1942, and was unmarried at the time of his death.
