d. 6 Mar 1989 in Wyanet; bur. in Forest Hills Cemetery

Roland was an only child, born into a noted family of the Wyanet area. He lived his entire life on the family farm just north of Wyanet. Mae was born in Kentucky, but her family moved to Wyanet when she was a little girl. Her father worked for the railroad. They lived in the town of Wyanet.

Roland and Mae were married in October of 1919. They farmed on the family land, opening a game farm on the property. They raised a family of three children. They were members of the local Community Church, where Mae taught Sunday School. Roland passed away on Christmas Day, 1968, in Ottawa, IL. Mae passed away 6 Mar 1989 in Wyanet. They are buried together in Forest Hills Cemetery, Wyanet.

  1. Dorothy Hazel Pierce, b. 23 Jan 1920.
  2. Donald Robert Pierce, b. 16 Jul 1921, d. 1999. He m. (1) Mildred --?--. They had children Robert and Connie. He m. (2) Alice HEGGEMEIER. They had children Jacklyn, Roberta, Donna, and Marilyn.
  3. Idella Madge Pierce, b. 31 Mar 1924. She m. (1) James LOCKRIDGE. They had children Tonya Sue and Jon Craig. She m. (2) Clyde NELSON.
