Two birthdates are listed for John, the first lists his birth as 1835 in Accomack Co and spouse as Mrs Susan Small. No parents are listed with this birth record, and the record is altered from source.

The second record lists his name and John J, born 1839 in Accomack and parents are listed as Solomon J. and Sally Byrd, this source is not altered.

An additional marriage record lists Mrs. Susan Small as spouse with an approximate marriage date of 1859, a record altered from source, and these records would indicate a single marriage for John J., not two. However, since both records exist, one valid LDS and the other altered by family? they are recorded here.

Endnotes

There is no record of James and Nancy Boston in LDS Maryland records. There is however, a record of Solomon J who married Sally Byrd in Worcester on 24 Dec 1827.

Virginia LDS records record the births of Solomon J and Sally Byrd children as:

LDS VA records also record the birth of Solomon J. as 1802 in Accomack Co. VA. Solomon does not appear in VA marriage records. He apparently met and married Sally in Maryland, therefore, no indication is given that the Small family came from there. It does indicate though, that Solomon spent time in Maryland, married in Maryland, but raised his children near his own family in Accomack Co., VA. Endnotes:
