Amos Small was one of three brothers who came to North Carolina and settled on the border of Virginia. Amos married Rachel (Hiatt) and had several children. They moved to Indiana. One son, Isaac Small, left several brothers and moved (1854) from Marion Indiana to Silverton Oregon.
