CRESTON -- Richard Leroy Click, 79, of Creston, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at his home after a period of declining health.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with pastor Paul Thoms officiating. Burial will be in Burbank Cemetery with military honors.

Friends may call today (Friday) from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Norwayne Track program in care of Norwayne High School, 350 S. Main St., Creston 44217.

Richard was born July 31, 1929 in Akron, son of the late Roy and Lilly (Zehner) Click, and married Ruby I. Miller on Nov. 17, 1950 in San Diego. She preceded him in
death on Aug. 30, 1999.

He was a graduate of Akron East High School and had served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Richard retired from Goodyear Aerospace after 35 years of service.

He had made his home in Burbank since 1961 and was a member of Creston Moose Lodge 1224. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He was a faithful pen pal to his granddaughter, Kristen, while she served in Iraq.

He will be greatly missed by his children, Dianne Schreiner of Creston, Pamela (John Zoss) Cosentino of Wooster and Joseph (Theresa) Click of Creston; grandchildren, Shane Grier, Kristen Cosentino, Maria and Monica Click, Zachary and Joshua Click; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Lauren and Gavin Grier; a brother, Kenneth (Teri) Click of Creston; a sister, Carol Walchalk of Brimfield; extended family members, Billy and Leanne Collum; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny in 2001; brothers, Harold Veney and Larry Click; and a sister, Doris Smith.

Services for Richard L. Click, 79, of Creston were held Saturday. Pallbearers were Zachary and Joshua Click, Terry Veney, Denny Kent, John Zoss, Bill Buckingham, Kenny Click, Whitey Slater and Dick Dawson. Honorary pallbearer was Shane Grier.
