WEST SALEM -- Paul V. Metheney, 74, of West Salem, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at his home.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Grace Brethren Church in Homerville with Pastor Brad Kelley officiating. Burial will be at Hazzard Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by James Stevenson American Legion Post 499 of West Salem.
Friends may call this evening (Wednesday) from 7-9 at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
He was born June 22, 1926, in Preston County, W.Va., to Paul and Bernice (Cunningham) Metheney.
Surviving are his wife, Janet (Skinner) Metheney, whom he married Sept. 23, 1949; three children and their spouses, Amy and Karl Kalinowski of Streetsboro, Beth and Lucas Clark of West Salem and Dana and Katie Metheney of Lodi; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Eileen McWilliams of Akron.
