Homer J. Butdorff, 76, of Ashland, died Monday, March 8, 1999, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Columbus.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, with the Rev. David Carter officiating. Burial will be at West Salem Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Wayne County, 5318 Tannerville Road, Orrville 44667.
He was born Nov. 2, 1922 in Homerville to John and Effie (Grissinger) Butdorff and married Mary Jane Rumbaugh in 1942. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Mrs. Richard (Penny) Fryman of Ashland, Jeffrey Butdorff of Strongsville and William Butdorff of Coldwater, Mich.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Janice Henning of Elyria and Joyce Ferguson of Medina.
