WEST SALEM -- Homer A. Dexter, 70, of West Salem, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at Lodi Community Hospital.

Services will be Saturday, July 13, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Truth Baptist Church, West Salem, with Pastors Carlos Browning and Raymond Miller officiating. Burial will be at West Salem Cemetery with military services by James Stevenson American Legion Post 499 of West Salem.

Friends may call Friday from 6-9 p.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Matteson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 314, West Salem 44287 to help defray funeral expenses.

He was born June 14, 1932, in Lacyville, Pa., to Richard and Etta (Crandall) Dexter.

Surviving are his wife, Anna (Latham) Dexter, whom he married July 5, 1955; six children, Donna Dexter of West Salem, Linda (Bob) Kinney of Lodi, Robert (Vicki) Dexter of West Salem, Rhonda (Doug) Johnson of West Salem, Sally (Dave) Bonds of Lodi and Susan (Bob) Bell of Burbank; 14 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Gladys Meddendorf and Harriett Dexter, both of Pennsylvania and a brother, Rodney Dexter of Pennsylvania.
