Additional Notes
Donald O. Yergin, 84, of West Salem, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at Kingston of Ashland Nursing Home, after a short illness.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at West Salem Church of God, with the Rev. Glenn Caudill officiating and the Rev. Harvey Studer Sr., assisting. Burial will be at Burbank Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem.

He was born April 23, 1917, in Medina County, to Harry and Mittie (Markley) Yergin and married Twila M. Keener in June 1939. She died in March 1963. In July 1964, he married Darline Leslie. She died in July 1994.
Surviving are children, Richard (Mary) Yergin and Charlotte (Norman) Kline, both of Wooster, Marjorie (Samuel) Studer of Mangum, Okla., and Betty (Kenneth) Valentine of Norwalk; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Janie Snoddy of Wooster, Timothy Leslie of Ashland and Becky Westerfelt of Wisconsin; eight step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Kathryn Swanson of Wooster.
