LODI -- Donald G. LeMar, 79, of Lodi, passed away Monday, March 5, 2007, at Wooster Community Hospital. He leaves behind many friends and extended family.

He was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Lodi to Sidney and Hazel (Stair) LeMar and was a 1946 graduate of Burbank High School. He had resided in the Burbank and Lodi area all of his life, and had worked for Lodi Dairy and later at Rubbermaid Inc., in Wooster for 30 years. He retired in 1993.

Don was a member of Lodi United Methodist Church, Ashland Eagles 2178, Ashland Moose Lodge 1383, Ashland Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1067 and Ashland AMVETS Post 0096. He was an avid euchre player and loved collecting antiques.

Surviving are a longtime friend, Rodney Ickes; brothers, Doyle LeMar of Lodi and Raymond LeMar of Apple Creek; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved poodle, Sadie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jimmy Stair and Bob LeMar.

Service will be Friday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, with the Rev. David Howell of Lodi officiating. Burial will be at Burbank Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 8, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
