Donald A. Boyes Sr., 79, 5706 Stuckey Road, died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with the Rev. George Michel officiating. Burial will be at Yost Cemetery, Burbank, where military rites will be held.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
He was born Aug. 19, 1919 in Fort Gay, W.Va., to Isaac and Tokie (Jenkins) Boyes and married Marjorie M. Double on May 13, 1939. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons and their wives, Donald and Peggy Boyes Jr. of Seville, Robert D. and Gerri Boyes of West Salem, Larry G. and Belen Boyes of Wrightwood, Calif., and Richard J. and Sharon Boyes of Caryville, Tenn.; daughters, Kay Kahrig of Burbank and Sally Boyes-Hyslop and her husband, Richard, of La Habra Heights, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a brother, Clifford Eugene Boyes of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and sisters, Anna Lee Archer of Creston and Jane Bates of Marietta, Ga.
