CRESTON - Carl Dean Livingston, 72, of Creston, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at Lodi Community Hospital.

Services will be Saturday, Jan. 22, at 10 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 127 Mill St., Burbank, with Pastor James McCurdy of Creston officiating. Burial will be at Burbank Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 127 Mill St., Burbank; or Faith United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 127, Burbank 44214.

He was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Holmes County to Carl B. and Opal F. Livingston and was a 1950 Sterling High School graduate. For four years, he was a flight instructor for the U.S. Navy.

He had resided in Burbank for 46 years and had worked at the Wooster Brush Co. as a payroll accountant for 35 years. Along with his wife, he had operated the Burbank Variety Store for 36 years.

He was a member of Burbank Fire Department for 40 years, Burbank Busy Bees and was a Burbank councilman for three years.

Surviving are children, Richard (Julie) Dawson of Creston, Linda Gray and Roger (Dawn) Hartley, both of Burbank; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dana (Randy) Britton of Wooster; brothers, Paul (Alice) Livingston of Fremont and Glen (Leanne) Livingston of San Jose, Calif.; and a daughter-in-law, Margaret “Peg” Dawson of Creston.

His wife, Virginia, to whom he was married to for 46 years, and children, Robert and Ronald Dawson, died previously.
