Louisa Silver


The home of Mr. and Mrs. William Silver, Union Square, Lunenburg, was saddened by the death of the wife Louisa, who, after an illness of only six weeks passed away on October 29th at the age of 70 years. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and had a host of relatives and friends.

She leaves to mourn their loss, a kind and loving husband, three sons, Acia and Clarence at home, Locke of Watford; nine daughters, Lilly (Mrs. Lem Silver), Union Square; Lottie (Mrs. Jake Silver), Union Square; Lois (Mrs. Seaforth Publicover), Bridgewater; Lucy (Mrs. Locke MacKay) Upper Northfield; Grace (Mrs. Arthur MacKay) Watford; Vanie (Mrs. Lossie L. MacKay) Rosalidale, Mass., U.S.A.; Jennie (Mrs. Sadie Veinot) Watford; Leavy (Mrs. Angus MacKay) Union Square; Alma (Mrs. Charlie Ernst) Upper Northfield; thirty-one grandchildren; three great grand-children; one sister, Sadie (Mrs. Enos Awalt) Bridgewater, also a host of relatives and friends.

Her body was taken to Upper Northfield and laid to rest in the cemetery there, followed by her husband and children, relatives and friends. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. R. Rasnussen of Wentzell's Lake. His text taken from Psalms 128, verse 3. The floral offerings were beautiful and numerous.
