Ivan Henry Silver


SILVER, Ivan Henry - 68, Watford, Lunenburg Co., died Friday, September 11, 1998, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born on October 11, 1929, in Union Square, he was a son of the late Aseph and Hilda (Wagner) Silver. He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Upper Northfield. He was a past employee of Acadia Construction and Department of Transportation, Bridgewater. He was a retired employee of Bowater Mersey Paper Co.

He is survived by his wife, the former Alice Hurshman; son, Peter and wife Avice, Union Square; daughters, Nan Ramey and husband Paul, Upper Northfield; Vicki Jefferson and husband Grant, West Northfield; brother, Fred and wife Vivian, Oakhill; grandchildren, Sarah and Gillian Silver, Brianna and Tyler Jefferson, Ashley and Jacob Ramey; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Beulah Silver and Evelyn Schofield.

Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in New Germany Funeral Home, 4895 Route 10. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 13, in Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Upper Northfield, Rev. William Gustafson and Rev. Ted Heinze officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Upper Northfield. Flowers from the immediate family only. Donations may be made in Ivan's memory to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, South Shore Regional Hospital or to the charity of your choice.
