Elsie Mae Silver
Elsie Mae Silver, 79, New Germany, passed away June 21, 2000 at home. Born in East Clifford and raised in Hemford, she was a daughter of the late Freeman and Lena Mailman. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany. She was active in many different organizations over the years. She loved to travel, and never tired of the company of her family and many friends.
Surviving are her daughter Sonia Veinot, Newburne; a sister Eldora Mailman, New Germany; five grandchildren, Michelle, Amanda and Kendra Veinot, Chad and Tommy Silver; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Martin Silver and son Bruce.
Service was held in Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany, Rev. Ted Heinze officiating. Eulogy was by granddaughter Amanda Veinot, special music by granddaughter Kendra Veinot, reading “Rose Beyond the Wall” by Jesse Beck.

Donations were to Trinity Lutheran Church; Canadian Cancer Society; Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; Multiple Sclerosis Society and the family.

We, the family of the late Elsie Silver wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to relatives and friends who made donations, food, cards, phone calls and visited during the illness and death of our mother and grandmother. A special thanks to Trinity Ladies’ Aid for the lunch, to the pallbearers, Adam and Janet at New Germany Funeral Home, and Rev. Ted Heinze. A special thanks to Donna Selig, Home Care, VON (Viki), Palliative Care (Bonnie), and also to Dr. Mark Pennell, who took much of the pressure off the family. Once again, thanks from the family.
