Aubrey Barrett

LOWELL, NC - Aubrey "Arby" Barrett, 88, of 719 Railroad Street, died Tuesday, July 9, 1985, in Gaston Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Commerce, GA and son of the late Bill and Elizabeth Barrett. He was a retired dye house operator for American and Efird Mills, Mount Holly.

Survivors include his wife, Belle Johnson Barrett; three sons, Roy, Lloyd and Ray Barrett of Lowell; four daughters, Louise Wright of Dallas, NC, Faye Savage of Gastonia, NC, Martha Anders of Ranlo, NC and Mildred Barrett of Lowell, NC; fifteen grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted by the Reverend Homer Savage at 2:30 p.m. at Carothers Funeral Home of Gastonia. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Mildred Barrett, 903 Railroad Street.
