Aug. 19, 1934 - June 14, 2008

ELKHART -- Carl E. Sigsbee, 73, of Elkhart, died at 9:23 a.m. Saturday (June 14, 2008) at Elkhart General Hospital of natural causes.
He was born Aug. 19, 1934, in Elkhart to George and Isabelle (Kiser) Sigsbee. He married Joan Trovatore on June 25, 1955, in Elkhart. She died in 1998. He married Mary Grace Bock on Feb. 14, 2002, in Elkhart.

She survives along with two daughters, Angela (Charles) Clayton of Chicago and Gina (Andrew) Caligiuri of Elkhart; one son, Steven Sigsbee of Elkhart; one stepdaughter, Eileen Weslock of Howe; one stepson, Paul (Valerie) Bock of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren; four stepgrandchilddren; one sister, Wanda Hill of Elkhart; and one brother, Robert Sigsbee of Conroe, Texas.

He was preceded in death by one son, Daniel; two sisters, Maxine Tusing and Wanda Hill; and one brother, Robert Sigsbee.

Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, 403 W. Franklin St., Elkhart, is handling arrangements. There will be no services or visitation and he is to be cremated.

Mr. Sigsbee worked as a cost accountant and engineer at Damon Corp. for 17 years before retiring in 2000. He was a member of Elks Lodge and IARA.
