MRS. NELLIE F. SIGSBEE
Nellie F. Sigsbee, 81, of Southside died Saturday, January 14, in Fox Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, in Lewis Funeral Home, the Rev. Loren Hawver, pastor of the Mount Vision Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be later in Riverside Cemetery.
She was born May 26, 1879, at Oneonta, the daughter of Hiram and Mary Fritts. She was married July 21, 1895, to Arthur E. Sigsbee, who died in 1937.
Mrs. Sigs bee, a lifelong resident of Oneonta, was formerly employed at Oneonta Glove Factory and and Oneonta Family Laundry. She was a member of Autumn Lodge and the River Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. A. Raymond (Alta) Crandall, Southside; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Lulu Geer, Oxford; a grandson, Wayne Crandall, Leominsister, Mass.; and two granddaughters, Mrs. John Molinari, Oneonta; and Mrs. Donald Sawyer, Norwich.
Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. The family will be in attendance from 7-9 p.m. Monday. Autumn Lodge services will be 8 p.m. Monday.
