Fort Plain-Clayton A. Muchmore 62, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Dec. 5, 1956
He was born Nov. 2, 1894 in Canajoharie, son of Harry and Carrie Sigsbee Muchmore, and was a resident of this area all of his life. For the past 22 years he had been a commercial artist at Arkell & Smithe Co., Canajoharie.
Mr. Muchmore was a member of the Methodist Church, was a past master of Fort Plain Masonic Lodge, past high priest of Hiram Union Chapter, RAM, Canajoharie, and a member of Little Falls Commandery, Knights Templar, and Ziyara Temple, Utica.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sylvia Smith; two daughters, Mrs. Howard Manclow and Miss Patricia Muchmore, and three grandchildren, all of Fort Plain; his stepmother, Mrs. Gertrude Martin, New Jersey, a niece and a nephew.
The funeral will be at 3 tomorrow from the Swarts Funeral Home, the Rev. Albert T. Strobel, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fort Plain Cemetery. At 8 tonight there will be a Masonic service at the funeral home.
