CHAUMONT-GeorgeDewey Sixbury, 63, Chaumont died suddenly Thursday afternoon
at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, of a heart attack. He was admitted to the hospital at 9:15
Thursday morning:
The funeral - will be, held Sunday afternoon at 2 pm from his home with Rev. William A.Smith, pastor of the Chaumont Presbyterian Church, officiating. The body will be cremated.
Mr.Sixbury is .survived by his wife, Mrs. Jennie Sixbury; a step-daughter, Elaine Fredenberg of Chaumont; two sisters, Mrs. Nina Neilson and Mrs. Neva Carney, both of Phoenix; nieces-and nephews.
He was born in Phoenix on Sept 9, 1898 son of Charles and Orphia Sixbury, and attended school in Phoenix. He
came to Chaumont about eight years ago and had worked for the Marion Hentze store and .Town Tavern, both at Three Mile Bay, and the Hotel Chaumont.
Mr. Sixbury married Mrs. Jennie Fredenberg on June 29, 1957 at the Evans Mills Methodist church with Rev. J. Manley Spencer, pastor, officiating.
Mr.Sixbury was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion, Cape Vincent.
