July 02, 2003 Oneida Sigsby Tull Oneida Sigsby Tull, age 89, of Little Rock, a native of Rector and formerly of Crossett, Texarkana and Bauxite, died Thursday, June 26, 2003. Born in Rector, she was the daughter of the late Vesta Tidwell and Louis Bert Sigsby. A retired schoolteacher as well as a voice teacher, she loved music and flowers and shared them generously with family and friends. She graduated magna cum laude from Ouachita Baptist College and taught high school in Barton and Bauxite before her marriage. She taught elementary school in Crossett and Texarkana. For many years she was a church soloist and choir member at First United Methodist Church, Crossett. She and her husband joined Highland Valley United Methodist Church after a move to Parkway Village. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bert E. Sigsby of Rector. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wade Tull; three children, Rev. Janna Tull Steed of Creston, Iowa, Rev. Dr. Justin Tull and his wife, Lynn, of Dallas, Texas, and Joel Sigsby Tull of Greensboro, N.C.; two grandchildren, Martin Tull and Alison Cruden of Dallas, Texas; a great-grandchild, Owen Riley Cruden of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Lyndall Hardin of Jonesboro, Janelle Viertel of Boonville, Mo., and Glenna Bookout of Rector. The funeral service was at 11 a.m. Monday, June 30, at Highland Valley United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Kurt Bogan and Rev. Sue Trexler officiating. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Arrangements in Little Rock were by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home and in Rector by Irby Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Music Program Fund at First United Methodist Church in Crossett or to any local Hospice chapter.
