The inclusion of John as a child of Elias is based on the fact that both John and Elias were at LaGrange in 1850, that John was born in NY, that there were only 3 families named Sigsby in Ohio in 1850 all born in NY, as well as the fact that his first daughter was named Elizabeth. There has been no documentation disclosed that verifies this conclusion.

Abstracted from John Sigsbey's wil from Jacqueline Elderkinl:
The signature is very wobbly, looking more like Joln Seysley than John Sigsbey The witnesses were William H. Simmons and Florelle Wood.
The estate inventory included 80 acres of land and 30 acres of woodland.
Among the livestock were four milch cows, one cow and one steer, one
yearling and three calves; 24 old sheep and 18 lambs, and assorted other farm animals.
