Marilyn L. McNary
McNary, Marilyn L. BRUNSWICK Marilyn Louise McNary, 72, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Born in Albany, she graduated Van Rensselaer High in 1954 and lived in Brunswick for 40 years. Marilyn worked 16 years as a key punch operator for New York State Depart-ment of Tax and Finance. She loved poetry, solving crossword puzzles, wrote many skits for White Church Couples Club. She wrote frequently to letters to the editor. She liked discussing philosophy, enjoyed cooking, bowling, baking and frequented many casinos and liked playing the slot machines and cards. Marilyn spent winters at her home in Punta Gorda, Fla., for many years. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James H. McNary; son, James Kenneth McNary of Daytona, Fla.; two daughters, Laurie A. Connell of Bennington, Vt. and her children, Nicole and Sean Connell, Sandra McNary of Charlemont, Mass. and her family, Stacy Bissell, Luke Bissell and Brittany Bissell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday 10:30 a.m. from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Leukemia Society, 6 Automation Lane, Albany, NY 12205.
