Notes for Evert SIXBY
The date of death for Evert has not been learned. The last church record on which his name appears was as a witness for the christening of Elsje,daughter of Nicholas and Cornelia Cooper Sixbee on March 20, 1774. His date of birth is also an assumption.

This concerned a piece of land being sold in the "Colony of Rensselaerwyck" dated 11 May 1771-------
"Land was located in the Manor on the west side of the Hudson River about 2 miles south of Norman's Kill. Land was bounded on the north by
land of VENTON and EVERT SIXBY; a small stream dividing land of VENTON, ISAAC OSTRANDER and EVERT SIXBY. VENTON paid VAN RENSSELAER yearly
rents of "four fat fowls," 15 skipples of winter wheat, and "one day of riding with horses and sled if demanded." VENTON sold the land to WALLEY for
L100 New York lawful money."
FACTS AND COMMENTS:
On October 22, 1838, William and Maritje Seksby sponsored the christening of Evert and Elsje's daughter, Marytje.
William and Maria Sexby, children of Manassa were then living in an area well to the west of Schenectady, in what is now Montgomery County. There is no known reciprical social interaction between the Manassa Sexby family and Evert Siksby. .
On December 9, 1738, William Seksby married Annatje Ratelief. Their marriage record indicated that each were young people. Evert and Elsje were married at about 1737. William and Annatje named their first son, Nicholas. Evert and Elsje named their first son Nicholas.
On July 18, 1744, Nicholas Seskby and Maria Hogil sponsored the christening of Evert and Elsje's son, Nicholas.
Maria Hogil was the sister of Elsje Egmont. Nicholas was very likely either the father or the brother of Evert.
On May 2, 1756, Edward Hogil and Maritje Siksbey sponsored the christening of Evert, the son of Evert and Elsje.
Edward was a brother-in-law of Elsje's. Maritje was very likely a sister-in-law of Elsje's.
On Jan 9, 1695, Marietje, daughter of Hendrick Beekman and Antje Quackelbosch was christened at the Dutch Reformed Church of Albany. The witnesses to the christening were Johannes Beekman and Eva Vinhagle. Johannes Beekman was the father of Jannetje who was married to Issac Lansing. Isaac Lansing was a brother to Anna Lansing, Jacob Egmon Evert
Sixbee found there had 1 male between the age of 10 to 16 years, 1 male between
the age of 16 to 26 years, and one male aged 26 to 45 years. No females.
