Jeremiah BEATY, son of Alexander BEATY and Mary S. "Molly" CARTER, was born on 10 May 1805 in Teverbaugh, Harrison Co., WV and died in Marion Co. WV on 5 Jul 1875.
On 25 Mar 1828 he married Sarah Elizabeth FURBEE, daughter of George FURBEE and Elizabeth PRICHARD. She was born in 1802 and died on 25 Nov 1857. They had the following children:
4.1 George Washington BEATY. Born on 1 Jul 1829 in Harrison Co.,
WV and died in Marion Co. WV in 1912. He married Maria NAY.

Harrison Co., WV and died on 3 Aug 1911. On 9 Aug 1853 he married Charlotte
L. CUNNINGHAM, daughter of Rev David CUNNINGHAM and Charlotte Rebecca SNIDER.

- 4.5 Elizabeth BEATY. Born on 1 Aug 1840 in Harrison Co., WV and died on 2 Aug 1897. She married John J CLENDENNING.
- 4.6 Cornelius BEATY. Born on 10 Oct 1844 in Harrison Co., WV and died in Centralia, MO on 16 Sep 1909. On 10 Oct 1868 he married Mary E McELDOWNEY.
- 4.7 Sarah A BEATY. Born on 19 Sep 1846 and died in 1915. On 29 May 1864 she married William BARTLETT.
- 4.8 Maria Jane BEATY. Born in 1849 in Marion Co. WV. On 25 Sep 1871 she married Peter CALLAHAN, in Marion Co. WV. He was born in 1851.
- 4.4 Mary BEATY. Born in 1838.
