"This was a play/tribute I was in with pretty much the entire school. It was a tribute to JFK. The time frame was early 1964 and I was in first grade. Kennedy was assassinated the previous year. The school put on a tribute and I played John-John Kennedy. That's me Saluting the flag. The lady next to me played Jackie Kennedy and the little girl played Caroline. I remember someone off staged read a passage from something that was written by JFK. I was chosen to play John-John because I had long wavy hair and the day before the play my folks took me out and got me a crew cut. Let me tell you the Nuns were furious with my folks. My folks didn't know about the hair connection. The day or two before the play, the girl who played Caroline got a black eye during recess. More fuel for the Nun's to get fired up over. Needless to say the show went on with the crew cut and black eye!" Phil Trimarchi
