LEGEND OR FACT?

Fred Warren may have boarded at the Hindle home in Lawrence? Legend says that Henry Hindle being from England himself met the ships to find suitable men for his daughters to marry! His daughters Mary (Aunt May and Sophronia (Aunt Frone) used to say "such goings on" referring to the relationship between their sister Martha and her future husband Fred. Aunt May and Aunt Frone never married. Aunt May used to say that "her beau was killed in the war"(Civil) FACT: I have two letters written to Fred Warren from England, one from Nellie in Reading,England dated: September 21, 1873 and addressed to Mr F. Warren , Mr Morgan, 96 Fremont St., Lawrence, Mass , USA and the other one from his Mother in Rugby,England dated December 1873 and addressed exactly as the first letter.(not the Hindle address) Perhaps Fred met his future wife at Church? In the 1880 Census for Lawrence, Fred Warren, his wife Martha and daughter,Harriet are listed as living with Henry Hindle and family at 375 Haverhill St.
