"This image is looking North from about the same spot where the image of the river was taken. The road to the left of the white fence is old Route 20. It was also the bed for the Western Mass Street Railway. The house in the picture was actually my granfather's sister's house. Her name was Jennie (Bryan) Shattuck." (William Byran, March 2002)
