The Subscribers Inspectors of Common Schools in the Town of New Hartford county of Oneida State of New York Do Certify that at a meeting called for that purpose we have examined Miss Harriet Patterson and do believe her of good moral character and of sufficient learning ability to teach a common school for one year in this town from the date hereof---------dated New Hartford August 26th 1837---------------
