Mrs. Whitmore Dies 17 Hours After Funeral of Husband

Just 17 hours after funeral services were held for her husband, the late James A. Whitmore, 76, of Severance passed away at the Weld County hospital. She [Hattie Tallman Scarlett-Whitmore] died at 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Funeral arrangements are being made at the Richards Mortuary in Windsor. Her husband passed away Wednesday October 17 at the Veterans Hospital in Cheyenne. His funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Windsor.

Mrs. Whitmore was seriously ill at the hospital in Greeley at the time of her husband's death.

She is survived by two sons, Harvey and Bruce Whitmore of Severance and by two grandchildren and by two brothers, Dan Whitmore and Alonzo Whitmore. There are two stepchildren, Mrs. G.C. [Amy Scarlett] Holloway of Grand Junction and Harland Scarlett of Olathe [CO].
