Subject: YOUNG FAMILY From: Betty Young Bray Date: February 21, 1998 I just happened to reread this message to you and realized I did'nt say that the land deeds were in Greenville, County S.C. I really don't have an excuse. Long day. thanks Betty Young Bray 109 Fairway Drive Fairfield Glade, Tn. 38558 Phone 931-456-1082 E-Mail [email protected] Researching: BILLINGSLEY, BIRDWELL, BRAY, CHILDS, DAVIDSON, Hudson, JACKSON, KEITH, LOCKE, SHARP, SPURLOCK, WARD, WHEELER, WHITE, YOUNG I want to say thank you for all of the information you have posted. It is all interesting. Since you seem to know more than anyone I know about this area, I would like to ask you a question. My ancestor James Young lived in Jackson Co., Tn. early 1800's. In his file in the Nashville archives, I found a copy of a land deed dated 18 Sept. 1789 conveying 200 acres from Robert Prince to James Young. On 13 July 1807 James Young conveys the same property back to Robert Prince. I have searched for almost 40 years for the parents of James Young. I believe that he had an uncle William Young who married Elizabeth Holland. James father was probably John, brother of William. But I have been unable to confirm any of this. They all ended up in Jackson Co., Tn. late 1700's - early 1800-s. I would appreciate any information or suggestions. I am glad to see that you did'nt stop your posting due to some people who don't know that genealogy is history. Thanks again.
