Yeoman of the Guard.(commonly called BEEFEATERS_ a corruption  of
Buffetiers) is a body of footguards established in the reign of Henry
V111 for the protection of te Royal Person.These soldiers are ow few in
number. and thier duties are those of  attendants at the Tower  and
appearing in full dress upon ceremonious  State occasions They still
wear the style of dressof the Tudor period
