I have been looking a long time for the parents of Dr. Eugene Ludlow WILSON
(b. 1857 somewhere in SC, d. 1909 in Abbeville), a dentist in Abbeville
during the 1880s and 1890s. Obviously, if anyone knows anything about this
family, I would appreciate hearing from you; but I have some other related
questions someone might could address:
1. Where were dentists trained for practices in SC? Was there a dental
school nearby?
2. Was there any kind of record kept of physicians and dentists?  Was there
any state regulation of their practices?

Eugene Ludlow WILSON married Willie Templeton COOGLER (b. 1865, d. 1897) in
1882 in Abbeville. I know little about either family.
