Subject: Willtown/New London Edisto River From: Deborah Byrd Date: April 07, 2000 I have a Donnam/Dunham family that settled in Willtown 1696, they were part of the Dorchester Society, of which Willtown and Pon Pon were part. The SCDAH of just published a book, "Willtown An Archeaological and Historical Perspective". I have only glanced through it, but WOW. It has enlightened me about the settlement and how several land grants were related to the town and the river. I highly recommend the book. Kudos to the Archives and the reseachers.
